Maritime Physical AI for Navigation-Grade Situational Awareness

About Us

Seapath Robotics is a maritime deep tech startup building hybrid Physical AI for the future of shipping, intelligent navigation, and Maritime Domain Awareness. Our first product, the VIIDAR Panopticore™ situational awareness system, combines AI-based scene understanding with deterministic optical ranging, 3D geometry, and uncertainty-aware tracking. The result is a trusted perception and navigation-intelligence layer designed to help crewed vessels, autonomous ships, unmanned maritime systems, and coastal operators detect, measure, and understand the maritime environment.

Our Technology

VIIDAR Panopticore

VIIDAR - Visual Identification Detection And Ranging - is a hybrid maritime Physical AI platform: AI where it excels, and deterministic algorithms where safety demands explainability and measurement precision.

  • AI perception for object detection, classification, and maritime scene understanding.
  • Regulation-aware identification of all objects including vessels, buoys, floating objects, and rare edge cases.
  • Navigation-grade optical ranging that measures long-range distance with camera geometry instead of relying on radar or AIS fusion.
  • Uncertainty-aware multi-target tracking for actionable bearings, ranges, speeds, courses, and risk outputs.
  • 360° sensing for a precise local 3D maritime world model in harbors, channels, offshore areas, and docking scenarios.
  • Software-defined architecture designed for bridge integration, fleet deployment, coastal sentinel nodes, and future autonomy stacks.
  • Passive optical sensing for small, low-signature, and non-cooperative maritime targets.

VIIDAR is designed to support today's human operators and tomorrow's Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS), while also enabling strategic applications such as port, coastal, offshore, and defense-relevant Maritime Domain Awareness. Dynamic, rule-compliant path planning is under development as a later software module; our near-term focus is navigation-grade visual perception and situational awareness.

Competitive Advantage

Hybrid Physical AI

Modern AI perception combined with deterministic geometry, tracking, and uncertainty-aware maritime reasoning.

Independent Ranging

Camera-only distance measurement that adds a redundant optical layer to radar, AIS, and bridge systems.

3D Maritime World Model

360° high-resolution perception for local 3D maps, object localization, and constrained-water navigation.

Explainable Autonomy Path

COLREG-aware perception today, with dynamic rule-compliant path planning planned as a future module.

Market Opportunity

The $2.5T maritime industry faces severe labor shortages, rising operating costs, safety pressure, and increasing demand for autonomy. At the same time, strategic momentum is building around Physical AI, unmanned maritime systems, MASS, and Maritime Domain Awareness. Seapath Robotics targets this convergence with a modular platform that can start as decision support for crewed vessels and expand toward autonomous navigation support, port and coastal monitoring, defense-relevant sensing, and future smart-vessel ecosystems.
